Description

The heart-warming comedy drama is set against a backdrop of the stunning Australian outback. When Lucky Flynn (Tim Minchin) learns that his estranged mother is dying, he embarks on a road trip across Australia to see her, packing nothing but an upright piano for the journey. In a dramatic twist of fate, his plans are soon turned upside down when his path collides with runaway teenager Meg (Milly Alcock), who has some demons of her own. The pair forge an unlikely friendship as they drive, hitch and scam their way across the Nullarbor Plain in a race against time, and through a series of quirky happenings we slowly learn what each of them might be running away from.
Will the journey, however, bring them the peace they so desperately seek?
